Uganda's Media Landscape Gets A Boost As Flavia Tumusiime Takes The Helm

In a significant development that has sent ripples of excitement throughout the media fraternity, Flavia Tumusiime has been appointed as the new Head of Broadcast at Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda.

This appointment, effective April 7, 2025, marks another milestone in the illustrious career of the 36-year-old media personality. With a career spanning over two decades, Flavia brings to the table a wealth of experience garnered from her stint as a news anchor, radio host, actress, and video producer.

Her foray into the media industry began at the tender age of 14 when she appeared on the TV show "Teens Club" on WBS TV. Since then, she has worked on various projects, including the popular TV series "Beneath the Lies."

One notable congratulatory message came from Canary Mugume, who affectionately referred to Flavia as "Nnalongo," a term used to describe a mother of twins. Flavia, who is married to sports journalist Andrew Kabuura, has three children, including twins.
