Parliament Mourns for Ssegirinya, Speaker and Minister Pledge Support to His Children

Kampala, Uganda - The Ugandan Parliament held a special mourning session yesterday to honour the late MP for Kawempe North Constituency, Hon. Ssegirinya Mohammad. During the session, two senior government officials made commitments to support the late MP's children.
Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among, pledged to pay the school tuition fees for one of Ssegirinya's children, Naggirinya. Meanwhile, the Minister of Technology and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, vowed to pay the school fees for another one of Ssegirinya's children until they complete their education.
The parliamentary mourning session was a somber occasion, with MPs and other officials paying tribute to the late MP. The commitments made by Speaker Among and Dr. Baryomunsi were seen as a gesture of goodwill and support to the late MP's family during this difficult time.
